Provenance: Galerie Scheidwimmer, Munich (1972); private collection, Munich. Bison who came from Friuli was the last classical Venetian veduti painter of the settecento. In his later years he specialised in fantastical veduti painted in tempera which took their lead from the work of Marco Ricci.
